Deposits Tab

The Deposits tab contains settings to determine a customer's eligibility for having their deposit amount refunded to them. Typically, mass refunds are done for accounts with good credit. The settings on this page construct a mini credit history to determine who qualifies for a deposit refund.

The Bad Credit section contains the fields that are used to define what constitutes a bad credit event.

  1. The Default Maximum field defines the total allowable weighting to be considered eligible for a deposit refund. The acceptable range is 0-9999.
  2. NSF's are accomplished through adjustments. The NSF Code is a reason code that identifies which adjustments are NSF's. This value is required if the Notice Weight value is greater than zero. The values are defined in Validation Set 108, Utility Management Adjustment Reason.
  3. The NSF Weight field determines the weight that should be assigned to NSF payments. The acceptable range is 0-99. Adjustments that are identified as NSF adjustments will be assigned this weight.

The weight assigned to delinquent events is defined in the grid.

  1. Double click on the Weight cell for the event that needs the weight defined.
  2. Enter the value for that event.
  3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for any other events that need the bad credit weight defined. The Weight is required for each event. Valid values are 0 through 255.

Select the Include Inactive Accounts check box if you want inactive accounts included when a mass deposit refund is performed.
